The Rev. Arianne Rice, Rector

Arianne has been leading and serving with the people of Good Shepherd since 2011.  She has a passion for preaching, teaching and engaging with people around questions of purpose and faith.  Arianne is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator™ in the work of Brené Brown on courage and vulnerability and leads workshops throughout the area. Prior to moving to Baltimore she served as the Associate Rector at St. Philip’s in Durham, NC and received her Masters of Divinity at General Seminary in New York.  Before becoming ordained Arianne worked in advertising and marketing in online media. 

Kim Chalmers, Financial Manager

Kim and her family are native Australians. Her husband is the tennis pro at the Elkridge Club, where Kim has also worked. As our Business Manager, Kim is responsible for financial matters, including pledges and gifts of stock.

The Rev. Van Gardner, Pastoral Associate & Missioner for Outreach and Community Engagement

The Very Rev. Van H. Gardner has served as Rector of St. Mark's on the Hill in Pikesville and, for 21 years, as Dean of the Cathedral of the Incarnation. Van's ministry is focused on congregational growth and renewal, encouraging members to live into their baptismal promise to "seek and serve Christ in all people" by reaching out to others. After his tenure at the Cathedral Van volunteered to become priest-in-Charge of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in West Baltimore helping to develop a ministry among inner-city youth which is now a non-profit called St. Luke's Youth Center, (SLYC). SLYC has partnered with the Church of the Good Shepherd to create a new and exciting initiative which includes hosting the annual Christmas Café and “Camp Imagination”. He will be working with Good Shepherd members to further develop this ministry as well as other opportunities to engage the wider community.

Kim Chalmers, Finance & Facilities Manager

Kim has been with Good Shepherd since 2009. Her position has grown from responsibilities for budget and finance to include stewardship, annual giving and overseeing the Good Shepherd campus and building. She has also worked as Finance Manager for our Day School so she knows everything about our community! A native Australian her husband is the tennis pro at the Elkridge Club, where Kim has also worked prior to joining our church.

Lauren Rohrs, Parish Communications Coordinator

Lauren is a recent graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University with a MA in Contemporary Communications and a MA in English Literature. Lauren is responsible for the ongoing efforts of communicating the many ministries and programs of our community, as well as the daily administration of the church. Her background includes studies in communications, English literature, philosophy, psychology, and equine science. 

Ann Marie Sears, Nursery Caregiver

Ann staffs our nursery during our 10 am service. Ann Marie has been a teacher at the Good Shepherd School for the last four years and she’s excited to be joining us on Sunday mornings!

Robbi Walls, Children's Chapel Coordinator

Robbi leads our Children's Chapel during our 10 am service. Robbi teaches at the Good Shepherd School and brings fun and learning to our school aged children on Sunday mornings!
