From the Desk of the Associate Rector
Greetings, All!
Going forward, I’ll be adding a little to our weekly e-newsletter, and - in the spirit of getting to know each other - I thought I’d begin with my full bio. Can’t wait to learn more about you!
The Rev. Julia Fritts was ordained to the priesthood in 2009, after earning her Master of Divinity degree at The General Theological Seminary in New York City. She has served churches in Connecticut, Oregon, and Maryland, and has recently concluded serving as Rector of St. Mark’s on the Hill in Pikesville, Maryland. She has a passion for the revitalization of joyful, connected Christian community, spiritual growth, and transformational worship, sharing in Christ’s great welcome and love for all!
With Masters degrees also in Physical Therapy and Classical Acupuncture, she is the founder of Classical and Neuroacupuncture Care, continuing a lifelong passion of helping those suffering in body, mind, and spirit. She will be serving ¾ time at Good Shepherd, and ¼ time in private practice.
Mother of Lilly, an editor and musician in Manhattan, and Violet, a mini Australian Shepherd, her favorite pastimes are gardening, gathering friends and family around the table, and making all sorts of odd and sometimes beautiful things, from embroidery to stonework. She is looking forward very much to getting to know the lovely people of Good Shepherd, serving with Rev. Arianne, and seeing just what the Holy Spirit has up that big sleeve for us!
